DPS Rishikesh celebrated Red Day with great zeal! Students from Pre-Nursery to Prep. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and energy. The children's creativity and enthusiasm made the day truly special. The celebration reinforced the importance of colors in our lives and encouraged the children to explore and learn about different hues. It was a fun-filled day, filled with laughter and joy!

During the Maths week, DPS, Rishikesh hosted Maths Quiz for grade 3-12 and Maths activity for grades Pre-nursery to 2.

It was great to see students from various grade levels participating and enjoying maths in different ways. 

The younger students seemed to have a blast with hands-on activities like counting, coloring, and basic addition, while the older students showed off their maths skills through quizzes.

In every competition, there are no winners or losers, only learners." Students Dhruv Sindhwal (Grade 6), Tejas Dangwal (Grade 7), and Ishita Barthwal (Grade recently participated in the Inter-School Math Hackathon held at Maa Anandmayee Memorial Senior School. Demonstrating exceptional skills, they secured second place in the preliminary round and fourth place in the quiz round among 15 participating schools. Such platforms not only offer invaluable learning experiences but also inspire a passion for new discoveries and innovations.

DPS hosted an Extempore Competition for grades 6-12, showcasing exceptional talent. In the junior category (6-8), Ganga House emerged victorious, followed by Yamuna House and Satluj House in second and third place, respectively. In the senior category (9-12), Ganga House again triumphed, while Shyamal from Satluj House was declared the Best Speaker. The competition fostered spontaneous thinking, confidence, and public speaking skills. Congratulations to the winners! The event was a resounding success, highlighting the students' impressive communication skills and preparing them for future debates and discussions.

On May 10th, 2024, Delhi Public School Rishikesh celebrated Mother's Day with great enthusiasm. We were honored to have Dr. Pallavi Singh, a renowned Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, as our Chief Guest. The event saw active participation from all mothers, who were treated to a mesmerizing performance by their children. The kids put up a wonderful show, showcasing their love and appreciation for their mothers. Our Chief Guest and The Principal, Ms. Neelam Thapliyal, praised the mothers for their efforts and emphasized the importance of self-care. They encouraged mothers to prioritize their own well-being, acknowledging the vital role they play in nurturing their families. The event was a heartwarming celebration of motherhood, and we are grateful to have shared it with our beloved mothers.

दिनांक 4-5-24 को दिल्ली पब्लिक स्कूल ने सीबीएसई सहोदय इंटर स्कूल कविता प्रतियोगिता ( कक्षा1 से 5) ' द होराइजन स्कूल' में प्रतिभाग किया । जिसमें 13 स्कूलों ने प्रतिभागिता किया । दिल्ली पब्लिक स्कूल ऋषिकेश ने इस प्रतियोगिता में दूसरा स्थान प्राप्त किया। कविता का शीर्षक "प्रकृति और पेड़ "था, जिसके रचयिता शीथलेश थुल जी है ।

The students of Grade Pre-Nursery to 2 had a festive time celebrating Baisakhi on 12th April, 2024. Teachers had set up a village scene to teach the children about the significance of the festival. The students brought party tiffins and enjoyed delicious halwa as prasad. They danced and had a great time, immersing themselves in the joyous spirit of Baisakhi. The school event was not only entertaining but also educational, as the children learned about the cultural importance of the festival while having a fun-filled celebration.

We are delighted to announce that an Orientation session was conducted respectively for classes Pre-Nursery to 5 and 6 to 12 parents. The teachers Ms. Seema Rana, Ms. Sakshi Raikwal, Ms. Chitrakshi Tiwari and Mr. Vivek Kandiyal oriented the parents and introduced the learning pedagogy to the parents. They also shared the rules and regulations and code of conduct of the school with parents.

Principal, Ms. Neelam Thapliyal enlightened the parents on Soft Parenting and shared with the parents the need to make our children resilient future ready

Youth Parliament session was conducted by the students of DPS Rishikesh on 2nd, December, 2023 in which students of Grade 8 to Grade 12 participated enthusiastically. It was a fruitful session which led to various learning outcomes for children.

Youth Parliament provides a mock parliamentary environment for young people, facilitating the understanding of parliamentary processes and debates. It serves as an important platform for discussing national issues, offering exposure to experienced moderators. By bringing like-minded individuals together, it encourages the formation of a community to address problems. The program aims to provide students with knowledge of parliamentary operations, encourage consideration of public issues, and hone their group discussion and decision-making skills. Additionally, it fosters respect, tolerance for differing opinions, civic awareness, and an understanding of societal and national challenges. Ultimately, Youth Parliament plays a pivotal role in shaping informed, engaged, and responsible future leaders.

In the junior category (for students aged 6-8), each house focused on different intriguing subjects, including Natural phenomena (Ganga house), Waste management (Yamuna house), Vaccines (Satluj house), and the Reasons behind falling ill (Chenab house). In the senior category (for students aged 9-11), the competition featured equally fascinating topics such as CRISPR technology (Satluj house), Exploring extraterrestrial life (Ganga house), DNA fingerprinting (Chenab house), and Quantum dots (Yamuna house). The event proved to be an excellent platform for students to dive into the fascinating world of science and technology.

The event began with the unfurling of the national flag and singing of the National Anthem. Students put on mesmerizing performances, including skits, dances, and songs, highlighting the nation's rich heritage.

The speeches by the Pro Vice Chairman, Mr. Keshav Mohan and Principal Ms. Neelam Thapliyal stood out as the highlight of the celebration. They emphasized the significance of discipline and time management in shaping one's character and achieving success. The entire school community, including students, teachers, and staff, actively participated in the event.
