DPS Rishikesh organized a Yoga Activity Day for Grade Pre Nursery- Grade 2 in which our tiny tots performed the Tad Asana, Vriksh Asana, Side Pose & Chair Pose with great excitement.The school also organized an Inter - House Yoga Competition for the students from Grade 3 to Grade 12. Both these events were held on Friday, 28th July, 2023. Students performed in groups of four, from each house. Sun Salutations, Bhujang Asana, Vriksh Asana, Hal Asana, Dhanur Asana and a few more asanas were performed by the participants. They showcased their skills of flexibility, agility, strength and agility in each one of them. The participants were judged on the basis of - the correct posture, holding time, flexibility and an oral mcq based question asked. The talent shown by our students was extremely commendable and was very well appreciated by the principal, judges, teachers and our audience as well.

The result of the Yoga Competition as per the categories was as follows -

• Grade 3 to Grade 5 : Ist - Ganga, IInd -Yamuna IIIrd-Chenab
• Grade 6 to Grade 8 : Ist - Ganga House. IInd- Yamuna House IIIrd - Satluj House.
• Grade 9 to Grade 12 : Ist - Chenab House IInd - Satluj House IIIrd- Ganga House
