Maths Activity (Grade 6-8)

During the Mathematics Week celebrations at DPS Rishikesh, students of Classes 6A and 6B took part in an engaging activity titled Patterns Around Us. The activity aimed to help students observe and understand various patterns found in their surroundings and identify the general rule behind each pattern. It provided a fun and interactive platform for students to explore mathematical concepts through real-life examples.

Students from Classes 9 to 12 participated in a creative and concept-based Maths activity. The activity focused on exploring the relationship between the area of a circle and the area of a rectangle, depending on the central angle. Through hands-on practice and visual demonstrations, students understood how portions of a circle could be compared to rectangular shapes, enhancing their grasp of geometrical concepts. The activity promoted critical thinking and deepened their understanding of mathematical relationships through real-world applications.
